About Refuge

REFUGE: /ˈrefˌyo͞oj,ˈrefˌyo͞oZH/ - noun

  • A condition of being safe or sheltered from pursuit, danger, or trouble.

  • Something providing shelter.

At Refuge Church, we are called to be just that—a place of refuge that points people to the God of refuge. We are a diverse family on a mission to Celebrate Christ, Love People, and Change the World.

Here, you’re family.

Here, you belong.

Here, you are loved.

Let’s change the world together!

Our History

Refuge Church began in 1953 in the home of Richard and Ruby LaCoste, where eight families gathered in faith, meeting under pecan trees and trusting God to provide. Over the years, the church grew, secured land, and became part of the Assemblies of God, built on a foundation of prayer and a passion for reaching the lost. In 2020, Pastors Eric and Jackie Danner stepped into leadership, continuing the mission to Celebrate Christ, Love People, and Change the World.

Our Beliefs

Refuge Church is a cooperative of the Assemblies of God fellowship.

As an Assemblies of God church we align ourselves with the leadership of both our state and national office.

Most importantly we agree with the whole biblical stance of the Assemblies of God.

Ministries

At Refuge Church, we're committed to serving our community and fostering spiritual growth through a variety of ministries. From dynamic worship experiences to engaging Bible studies, there's something for all ages to get involved in and find support, encouragement, and empowerment. To learn more about our church and ministries, consider attending Growth Track.
